Every call has a price.
The formula
required equity
= call ÷ (pot + bet + call)
The share of the pot you must win just to break even.
Example
Pot ₹100. Villain bets ₹50. You call ₹50.
= 50 ÷ (100 + 50 + 50)
25%
Win more than 25% of the time and the call makes money.
